For a death that ocurred in Atlanta, Try calling the sextons office at Oakland Cemetery. See if they have his name listed as being in the cemetery or call west view cemetery. They have large numbers of burials , Tho a long shot they are still good place to look if not for anything other than the process of elemination. Also, there are many Confederate and Union dead buried in Marietta, Georgia, which is a suburb of Atlanta. I think it is a national cemetery. I have rode by it hundreds of times but have never been inside. Maybe someone can advise if there is a way to check on the names of soldiers buried there!!!! S.K.
