Call 404-762-0940 0r email amac1@bellsouth.net (that's Amac one) A little about the cemetery so you will know how important your involvement will be. Hill Crest was a fine cemetery in its heyday with a main section set off with two circular side section and a newer bronze section across the road. The main and oldest portion runs slightly over 3 blocks long for Connally drive to Hwy. 166. Hill Crest started going down hill in 1963 when the last owner took it over from her family. The money from burials and sales was squandered , the cemetery forgotten about and allowed to wash away and grow over. Many Veterans lay to rest here as well as some of the oldest families that settled the area. Some section are totally grown over including a section in such a state of neglected it is called "The UnderWorld. We call upon the Genealogist to come, bring your family and tools to help cut this massive project back and show those that have abandoned these hallowed ground that we will not allow them to let our history and heritage pass from memory and to let them know we will fight tooth and nail to preserve those that paved the way for the rest of us. I was out cleaning today and met another family member of the cemetery who was 92 years old and running a weed wacker like a pro....if he can do it then some of us young bucks surely can! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Notify us by email or phone (404-762-0940) if you will come help us. Steven K. Bramlett Family and Friends of Hill Crest Cemetery (Also a genealogist)
