Hill Crest Cemetery is located on Stanton Rd off of Highway 166 in East Point, Fulton County Ga. Hi, We have a major project that is on going to protect and perserve Hill Crest Cemetery in East Point Ga. Our Organization is Family and Friends of Hill Crest Cemetery and the board is totally made up of family members who are also genealogist.The members of this board not only have ancestor from before their time there but also have loved ones they knew. On Saturday April 21, 2001, 8:00 a.m. we are holding a clean up and transcription. This is a volunteer effort. Some will clean the cemetery, repair the road way and repair grave stones. Others can join our transcription supervisor and help to put the cemetery on paper, helping to provide a future record for other genealogists with an intrest in this cemetery. I invite all who are interested in perserving this part of Ga history to attend and join in the clean up or transcription. Everyone is welcome and we hope many family members of this cemetery will attend and help us to restore the dignity. Those who have no ancestors or loved ones buried here will help sooth the families that have long greived over the conditions of the grounds.
