A Primitive Baptist Church on Stone Road - The Connally Family Cemetery - The Hornsby Family Cemetery. I would like to mention a Few cemeteries that I have known of my whole life but have never seen it listed or mentioned on the net.These are in east point. In East Point on Stone road just at the intersection of Stone Road and Washington Road Is an old Primitive Baptist Church building with a small cemetery behind it in the backyard of the church. The property has has a fence around it and I think it is locked. I would try and transcribe it myself but the fence prevents it and from my experience in trying to get permission or even info from any living members of primitive baptist churches is impossible because they are very private and suspicious of who and why the info is wanted. So if anyone knows anything about the church at the location and how to get access to the grounds to do a transcription let me know. (The neighborhood is not a nice one anymore so if someone tries to transcribe it, don't go alone it is between a gas station convenience store which sells beer where scum types hang around and an apartment complex which has crime problems) The reason I mention it is because it seems to be lost in time and not mentioned anywhere. Also a few other East Point Ga cemeteries which are invisible to the internet, The Connally Family at the end of Manor drive off Headland Terrace, The city has taken over and fenced it in and the Clean Community system has charge of it (But it's not Clean) And they are real arrogant about letting anyone in it, even genealogist. This is on what to be the Connally plantation. Another is, The Hornsby Family Cemetery. This is also fenced and locked but the lock is very old and I don't think is even cared for anymore and should not be a crime to jump the fence to transcribe. Located on Washington Road about 5 blocks north of Stone Road and 5 blocks south of Harris Street Near the Jackson Drive Baptist Church. A Beauty schools is in the front of the property it shares with the church in the parking lot of the beauty school you will see a cinder block wall, Climb up the hill at the top of the wall you will see a fence and the Small Hornsby family plot is inside.
