Micheal, yep! thank you so much. in her adult years my grandmother moved between Cedartown Ga (near Rome, iam sure you know that) and Gadsden Al but on my mother's birth certificate she stated she was born in Crest GA which is in Upson Co but there is NO records of her there or her parents there. then on her death certificate it states she was a native of Thomasville GA but again NO records there in Thomasville down in S. GA. but on the 1930 Census, right after her husband (3rd husband) died I found my grandma down in the exact area you mention; kinda SE of Atlanta; I went to the exact address that was on the 1930 census and saw all those signs, Thomasville this and Thomasville that and felt this is the Thomasville that is on her death certificate. thanks again ever so much for the exact location. I am heading that way this July and am sure I will find some clues. thanks so much jackie
