A William Cannon's estate was settled in DeKalb County, Georgia. He may be my gg grandfather. A Mary Cannon, probably his wife, filed to administer his estate in February of 1830. It is believed that this Mary Cannon was listed in the Buckhead district of DeKalb County in the 1830, 1840 & 1850 census records. This district became Fulton County in 1853. William was a lucky drawer in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery. Can anyone supply me with any information relative to this William Cannon? Known sons were: William E. Cannon and John C. Cannon. A Harrison Cannon may have also have been a son. If he is my gg grandfather, then he would have had two other sons: Elijah Cannon, b. 1809 and Almon Cannon (my great grandfather) b. 1812. They moved to Tennessee in the early 1830s. A daughter (given name not known) who married Josiah Washington Cash had 4 children who were orphans before the 1850 census. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Doug Foster
