Rose, You have to ask to learn! A tilde is the little squiggly mark above the ` which is to the left of the 1 on the very top of your keys. Some times all of us get lost so don't feel alone! Happy hunting, Neda (co51ne@aol.com)
It is the little wavy line - on my keyboard it is the first squiggle on the number rows before the 1. ~~~~~~~~~~~ maybe this one will show since it is not in a link. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Urbudrose@aol.com> To: <GAFULTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 30, 2000 6:42 PM Subject: Re: [GAFULTON] Welcome All Cemetery Data online in pdf format > Oh, dopey me...what is a tilde mark, please? > Rose > > > ==== GAFULTON Mailing List ==== > Fulton County Resource Page > http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/GA/Fulton/ > > ============================== > Ancestry.com Genealogical Databases > http://www.ancestry.com/search > Search over 2500 databases with one easy query! >

replace the +AH4- with a tilde mark and the link will work, for some reason the mailing list converts that to an ascii character set which is +AH4 - Sorry for the inconvenience. note: Please replace the A+H4 with a tilde - for some reason that character is not recognized when I use it. http://www.rootsweb.com/~gafulton/welcomeallcemeterynewpdf.pdf The above link will take you directly to the site that Crispin has done all the work on transcribing. Thanks so much to Crispin for the hard work and persistence in endeavors to make this information available to all. I am working on the Fulton site, so don't be surprised if there are some graphics missing from some of the pages and other items are moved around, I will be moving and adding things this week-end, but the links will all still be active unless you hit at a time when I am moving something. Note: For the files that are in pdf format you will need adobe reader which is free at adobe.com if you don't have it already. This appears to be the format of choice now in the data world, and I am enjoying the experience of using it. Thanks for your interest in Fulton County, and as always, looking for more data. Stay tuned to Crispin's area as there will be more wonderful things to come ===data from other cemetery sites---. It is so wonderful to have someone give their data selfishly for all of us. Again, many thanks to Crispin. Brenda

Looking for information or decendants of William Lycett who was in Atlanta in the 1890s. He had a shop at 83 1/2 Whitehall and one at 67 1/2 Whitehall. Ann in Atlanta
I appreciate all the praise I have gotten for my Ancestry web page. I have just improved it even more by adding family specific mailing lists! I will be slowly adding more and more -- so keep an eye out! I look foward to all you cousins out there signing up on the appropriate lists so we may further our research! Just so you know -- the site also has Net Mind services -- so if there are specific pages that interest you -- you can use this service to get notification when that page is updated/changed! Drop in and see if there is a mailing list for you! I have strated it with my Lunsford, Hardy, Stroud, Yancey, Wilkerson, Weaver, Thurston, Moore and Maddox lines! A William Cannon's estate was settled in DeKalb County, Georgia. He may be my gg grandfather. A Mary Cannon, probably his wife, filed to administer his estate in February of 1830. It is believed that this Mary Cannon was listed in the Buckhead district of DeKalb County in the 1830, 1840 & 1850 census records. This district became Fulton County in 1853. William was a lucky drawer in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery. Can anyone supply me with any information relative to this William Cannon? Known sons were: William E. Cannon and John C. Cannon. A Harrison Cannon may have also have been a son. If he is my gg grandfather, then he would have had two other sons: Elijah Cannon, b. 1809 and Almon Cannon (my great grandfather) b. 1812. They moved to Tennessee in the early 1830s. A daughter (given name not known) who married Josiah Washington Cash had 4 children who were orphans before the 1850 census. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Doug Foster
Hello Everyone! My gg grandfather worked at the Roswell Mill in 1864 and was sent to Indiana. His name was Jessie WIlliams. He was married to Mary Fortner (Williams). My question: Is there any record of who was working at the Mill in 1864? I am looking to see if Mary was. Thank you, Bonnie
Anyone have info about authors Hallis Irvine REEVES and Omelia REEVES who wrote "Quick of the Dead" or maybe Quick and the Dead. Reference was made to them in a family letter and I am trying to place them in the family tree. Thanks, DEB
