    1. Re: [GAFULTON] More East Point Cemeteries.
    2. Carolyn Yes I have found it and its location is Sandy Springs Cemetery on the north side of Mt. Vernon Hwy. I have talked to a Mr. Burdette who is with the church and it was owned by his family years ago. At this time I am waiting for a death certificate to verify the person I have is the same one. Jo-Ann << Did you find the Sandy Springs cemetery? They may be talking about the cemetery at the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. 1. [GAFULTON] Re: 1925 State census
    2. A follow-up to my original posting about state censuses. The good news is they do exist. The bad news is that I was unable to locate any for this county. I went to the Mesa, AZ Family History Library and asked and they directed me to 2 microfiche (6104851states beginning A-L & 6104852 M-Z). I looked on the fiche and did not see any censuses for the counties I am posting this to (Maricopa Co., AZ, DeKalb Co., GA, Fulton Co., GA, Lincoln Co,. TN). There were however, some entries for other AZ counties like Pima Co., AZ and some other GA counties. I would like to point out that if the census had been available that it should have been very helpful. Some censuses were agricultural and just stated acres owned but there were some that listed items that you find on the Federal Census plus including parents names. There were many different years, some as recent as the 1940's. I was looking up 3 states and was short on time so I did not copy any of the pages for the states to know the other county names. Below is a description of the fiche if your care to get the fiche and check for other counties and states you are interested in. If your counties there, it could be a good resource. A reminder that this is a index containing film numbers of the actual records. Diane "This register contains state and special census records which are located on microfilm at the Family History Library. The censuses cover the time period from the late 1600's to about 1925. New records are still being received at the library. Federal decennial population, mortality, agricultural, and manufacturing schedules are not included. Some other special census records are also excluded including military censuses, school censuses, and special censuses of American Indian tribes. An inquiry was sent to each state requesting information regarding census records at their state library and state archives. If a state answered the inquiry, the information is found in this register following the censuses for that state"

    2. Fred Hagan
    3. Rose, States that restrict obtaining birth certificates do so usually for 100 years after the event. My guess is to prevent people from stealing a dead persons identity. With a birth certificate you could create a new life for yourself.
