    2. Micheal, yep! thank you so much. in her adult years my grandmother moved between Cedartown Ga (near Rome, iam sure you know that) and Gadsden Al but on my mother's birth certificate she stated she was born in Crest GA which is in Upson Co but there is NO records of her there or her parents there. then on her death certificate it states she was a native of Thomasville GA but again NO records there in Thomasville down in S. GA. but on the 1930 Census, right after her husband (3rd husband) died I found my grandma down in the exact area you mention; kinda SE of Atlanta; I went to the exact address that was on the 1930 census and saw all those signs, Thomasville this and Thomasville that and felt this is the Thomasville that is on her death certificate. thanks again ever so much for the exact location. I am heading that way this July and am sure I will find some clues. thanks so much jackie

    2. Roy, yes I know the City of Thomasville is in Thomas CO. GA, in south GA but I am wondering if there was a small town around south Atlanta that was called Thomasville also. I have seen signs down there with things like Thomasville this or that (Grocery, gas station etc.) and my grandmother stated she was a native of Thomasville Ga yet she lived in the Rome/Cedartown/Atlanta area and was NEVER down in south GA. thanks again Jackie

    3. Egan or Egan Park is what was called the old 4th ward in East Point. Egan is part of Incorporated East Point and was an industrial section made up mostly of Mill Workers. It runs between Virginia Ave, Willingham Drive, Main Street and NormanBerry drive, it backs up to Hapeville Ga. Steven StoryB4866@aol.com wrote: > Hi, > Does anyone know of an Egan GA??
