Greeting, A wise man once said, To error is human, to forgive, Devine. I say, To error means theres a record, and to find it, divine. Franklin County Georgia has been to me a remarkable web site and presence. Jeans dedication and talent to the Mailing list and Web site utterly surpasses human expectations. Lets all concur and keep in mind forever our appreciation for the work she has done. So much work goes on in the background to keep the sites up and running. This may seem be an exit to some folks. However, Jean is currently Regional Coordinator and wont be far away when we need some help. Im sure Ill be sending her questions like how do I, and what do I do if. Probly right after I send this one out. So with that said, A little on the Status of the Web site. Its in great shape. She has transferred the list and it seems to be stable. Lets lets this suffice as group reassurance to her. We appreciate all the things she has done. And continues to do for us. Ok, a little about my self, I am evenhandedly descended from several lines out of Franklin, Hart, and Pendleton or Otherwise the Old 96. The lines that I am researching include several Names. Stephenson/Stevenson, Bailey, Miller, Castleberry, and Wansley from the region. But my main focus in this correspondence will be thanking Jean Jones. It is my intent to try to assist all with what time will allow. Post and Moderate interesting things and content to the group. Ask about things concerning genealogy, history or other related matters concerning Franklin Counties yesteryear. I will post or update the web site as time allows. My other responsibilities included the Stephens County Web Site. I will be doing that site as well. I hope that I can assist the group in posting information that can help in the research area. It is great to be given the chance to moderate, guide, and post. This such is my wish that all, everyone, anyone will feel free to post. Ask questions concerning Franklin County. With the entire above stated, and with the mind to further the resources of our web site. Let us all share and learn. There are around 300 people on the list. So making connections should be possible. You cannot pretend for long, for you will be found out. Ammission of ignorance is often the first step in our education. Thoreau Taught,"How can we remember our ignorance, whitch our growth requires, when we are using our knowledge all the time? Almost any man knows how to earn money, but not one in a million knows how to spend it. Henry David Thoreau, American writer (1817-1862).
