Admin to List, I thought I would take this time as your list guy to kind of let you in on the status of list. It has over 300 people. The Web Pages for Franklin County has had several hits lately. As some of you know the 1840 census is posted on the web site. I have received much e-mail concerning this. However some corrections are needed in the spelling of surnames posted. Please take time to look at your names of interest. Then send me a note on what needs to be corrected. Due to the vast size of the census project, I will only correct spelling when it relates to your line. Also the 1850 census is at a point of production that could allow for posting. I hope to pick up on what was left off prior to updating the site. There has been quite a lot of work done. But the census needs to be completed. If those interested in this project could get in touch with me. Also if those folks who did not get a chance to finish what they said they would, Please get back on the saddle. I think we could get the 1850 census up on web site by Christmas this year. It could be a great present don't ya think. (No Pressure Here) Also, I don't recall a roll call lately. The roll call is one of the fastest ways one can locate family and make connections. I am sending this out to announce a roll call. The Roll Call will begin, Friday Aug 24, until Tuesday Aug 29. This will give the over 300 people on the list a chance to unsubscribe if they wish not to be a part. I hope that everyone would remember the Subject Line Statement in all post; this is mandatory in a roll call. Post during this time period should have the Statement (Roll Call) with Surname of Interest in the Subject Line. Multiple Surnames on the Subject Line are discouraged. You may send as many Roll Call e-mails as necessary. Subject Lines are mandatory. Do not put more then one surname in the Subject Line. I hope this will be a fun and productive list. Keeping in mind the nature of the topics, and the content posted to the Boards. Also posting information on the Boards concerning living people will not be allowed. If you have questions concerning this please send question to Jean Jones, Regional Coordinator or to me. You can always send a simple note asking what to do. Let's all have fun, share, and enjoy this new technology.
