Hi, I have not followed up on any of the VICKERY'S in my line, but here is what I know. Julia "Juda" Vickery b abt 1800 married abt 1825, Elias Sanders Jr b 1797. This Elias is the son of Elias Sanders b 1775 and Mary Carter b 1775. Mary Carter was said to have been born in South Carolina. They must have lived on the border of SC and GA due to the land records of that time. This same area was FRANKLIN CO, which part of it became ELBERT CO, and which later became HART CO. I'm still trying to find or to follow the movements of my ancestor Elias and Mary Carter Sanders during the time they were in GEORGIA, and having a bit of a hard time. His grandfather, Tryon Patterson, Sr. was one of the earliest settlers of Franklin Co.
