Helen, I have very little on Lewis and Kezziah Payne Turner but their daughter Catherine married into my Ramsey line. I have much on the Franklin Co. The 1840-C (which is now on line on Usgenweb) list a Lewis Tyner, which must mean TURNER on page 320 nextdoor to Thomas Payne, and other Payne nearby--well, you can see for yourself. The 1850-C of Fkl. Co. list Lewis Turner 56 S.C. Keziah age 46 Ga. Sarah 19 Martha 14 John 12 Moses E. 8 Asa 5 nextdoor is William Samuel Turner age 23 Susan 24 (m. 1847 Susan Elizabeth Stowe) Sarah C. 2 Lewis 1 (Berry Lewis Turner-- my GGgrandpa) note: the 1840-c includes another girl whom I think might be Catherine Turner who married 12 May 1850 Fkl. Co. Ga. David Samuel Ramsey. These clues lead me to believe that Keziah Payne might be my ancestor. I would like to compare notes with Kathy Riddick and also have you compare my notes with yours to see if you think that I might be on the right track.
