The early federal census for Franklin County were lost...... destroyed.......mislaid.......hidden from us because they knew we'd want them ;-)....... The first actual census for Franklin County Georgia is the 1830 Census. There have been attempts at reconstruction of earlier census years. 1790 I believe.... and then there are tax records......Thank goodness these were preserved! Jean Jones CC Franklin Co., GA
