He married there, Lavinia Walters, daughter of Robert Walters, Jr. Their children were: Hezekiah b 05 Oct 1789, VA, Lucy b 10 March 1791, VA, Samuel IV, b 02 Sept 1792, VA, Elizabeth, b 14 June 1794, Robert b 14 Jan 1796, Joseph b 07 April 1798 in Franklin Co., GA, Polly, b 14 April 1805, GA. Lavinia Walters Pruitt died in Franklin Co., GA on 13 Feb 1813. Samuel married 2nd wife, Keziah Stokes Conolly, widow of Charles Conolly of Rockingham, NC, on 15 Nov 1814. Samuel and Keziah had one son: John Willis Pruitt b 12 Dec 1815.
