Sam, The Baker line married into my Howell line. The Abner Baker that you are talking about was the son of Nicholas Baker and Elizabeth Lawrence. I have a slightly different marriage date than you. I show the marriage as May 27, 1817 instead of the September 19, 1816 that you have. Not sure which is correct. Nicholas Baker had a brother John Baker who married Sarah Appling. Their son George Nicholas Baker was born in Clark County, Georgia and he married Elizabeth Howell (part of my Howell family). They later moved on to Fayette County, Alabama and then Texas. I may have some other info for you or can at least connect you to some Baker researchers. Although I see the McKie, McKey, McKay, McKee name a lot in the Franklin County, Georgia records, I can't pinpoint where or if Cynthia (Cinthia) McKee is part of them. Hope this helps.
