I have just joined this list and am trying to verify some of the WARREN information I have accumulated. Does anyone have evidence of the parentage of John Jackson WARREN who married Pricilla Vaughn? He is sometimes shown as the son of Thomas Hackley and Hannah Cawthon WARREN, but the dates don't seem right to me. Does any one have information about the John WARREN, son of Valentine WARREN of Hall Co, who is said to have married a Priscilla? My unproven theory is that John Jackson may be the son of Valentine and "my" John Warren who was born 1792 in SC is the son of Thomas Hackley & Hannah Warren. Any help very much appreciated. And if there should be a 'cousin' reading this, I would love to share info with. In over ten years of Warren research, I have a lot of info--some likely credible, some very 'iffy'. Janet Small

I have seen WARRENs in Lincoln Co. GA as well. The first names where Hackley, and Lot (short for Lancelot), and some others. I am drawing these from sheer memory. I would have to go back in files to find all I have. These WARREN I believe came from Spottsylvania Co., VA., where I found the exact names in land records there. I don't have much information. Most of it has been posted. But I did look through my records and while I don't have anything on John Warren, the named Cawthon is mentioned. I show that John Tilman Carter's father (Thomas Carter) was married to Sarah Fannie Cawthon.
