I am looking for Patrick Bailey and who his first wife was. He was in Forsyth County in 1840 and 1850. He is listed on the 1845 Forsyth County, GA State Census with a female close to his age so I am assuming this is his first wife since he didn't marry his second wife until Oct. 1849. He was living in the 31st. District in Forsyth County. Do you know what area that is, what town it is near now? Does Forsyth County have a cemetery book?? I have been told his first wife's name was Fannie Mae Stone or Amanda Tripp. But it really could be any name. I was in Forsyth County several years ago doing research. I had asked it there was a Historical Society, Genealogy Society, or a County Historian but no one knew. I spent most of the day in the Courthouse and didn't get to make it to the library to see what they had. By the way, Patrick Bailey was in Gwinnett County, GA in 1830's. The only way I know this is that he won the 1832 Gold Land Lottery from Militia Dist. 404 and in one of the newspaper he was report as not having picked up his mail at the Lawrenceville P.O. I know he was still in the area at the time because one of this sons was born in Lawrenceville,GA. in 1838. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
