    1. [GAFORSYT-L] Thank you everyone.
    2. It is nice to have people thank you for doing what you like to do. Forsyth County Mail List is one of the friendliest and most involved that I have seen and I belong to many. Many of you may know that I have adopted the Lumpkin County Genweb Page 11/27/99 (Lumpkin and Forsyth shared boundary lines until 1857 when Dawson was formed). I also took on the Lumpkin mail list, Lumpkin Genconnect Boards and the Dawson Genconnect boards except queries. I still have more records on Forsyth County than anywhere else, but our ancestors didn't stay on one side of the line. I remember in the late 1970's Joy Clark and I were working on a smokehouse. It was very old. The family farm lay across the County Line, Mama's house was in Forsyth - the son's in Dawson. We believe the smokehouse was one that appeared on the 1835 Lumpkin County Indian Valuations. If any of you have vital records on Dawson County to post you may reach those boards from Dawson County GA More Info at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~nwga/dawson.htm They aren't linked anywhere yet, but will be shortly.
