I have a David Umphrey who joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church on December 8, 1866 by letter. Also, a William Umphrey(or Humphrey) who joined Mt. Tabor by experience on October 23, 1867, he was granted a letter of dismission in December 1874. William Humphrey appears near the end of the 1873 membership list, but David does not appear on any of the official membership lists. Hope that this helps, unfortunately I don't have any other information on these two men and no other members have the names Humphrey or Umphrey.
