    3. My family has been in Elbert County Georgia since at least 1807/08 when Elias SANDERS was given land. He married Mary Carter and all info shows their birthdates as 1775. I can't find Elias' parents or sibs/cuz/uncles/etc.....and the book states he was "thought" to have come from Maryland but again, "cousins" from one of his many children have written me stating they thought he came from NC. Elias Sanders b abt 1775, married Mary Carter b abt 1775 she is thought to be the daughter of Thomas Carter who fought in the REV WAR. Together they had the following children: 1. Elias Sanders Jr b 1/1797 m Julia Vickery 2. Mary b 1800 m James Vickery 3. Thomas "Kit" b 1801 m Isabella Trotman (Totman) b abt 1810. 4. Calvin P b abt 1803 m Sarah Miller 5. Lewis Manley b abt 1804 m Prudence Miller 6. Samuel B b 1808 m Annie Skelton 7. Jonathan P b abt 1812 m Orpha Miller 8. Patience b 1/1818 m Joseph Hightower Vickery(1) and John Smith(2) 9. Rachel m Joel Dyar A cousin from Hartwell Georgia recently paid me a visit and was giving me as much info has he had and I was told that there are SANDERS' still living on the original land that belonged to Elias SANDERS. -- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, September 19, 1999 9:38 AM Subject: Re: [GAFORSYT-L] SANDERS/CARTER lookups > Does Elias ever appear on the Elbert County Census? > If so when did he disappear from there? > > > ==== GAFORSYT Mailing List ==== > =======================Forsyth County Georgia======================= > Did you know?
