Julie, I have that Mahala F. Pool is the daughter of Young Pool and Elizabeth Hawkins. Young is a distant cousin to Nathan Pool. Seth Pettypool, Jr. & Mary Wood (died Granville Co., NC) had Claiborne Pool--Nathan's father. They also had Young Pettypool who d. Greenville Co., SC. Young Pettypool m. Sarah McVay. They were the parents of Young Pool b. 1804 and father of Mahala.
