My Forsyth families include: BRANNON: John(1), William(2), Cicero (who moved to Gwinnett Co) This family forms a brick wall in VA in the late 1690's. They migrated from Va sometime around 1740's to Johnston Co., NC and my branch (the one listed above) came to Forsyth sometime around 1825. Searching this family was made easier because of the press William generated in 1858-59. SHIRLEY: Benjamin Emazieh who was born in Abbeyville, SC in 1811 but died in Forsyth Co in 1886. His son Tribble and his daugher Vivian (my grandmother). This line deadends in Prince William, VA in 1768. WEBB: Joel (1837-1923); Sarah Magdaline (1872-1950) I haven't spent a lot of time researching this family so I have little information on them. Of course all of these families seem to migrate back and forth between Forsyth and Milton Counties as I assume a lot of our families do. All branches of my family made it easy for me. They have come from VA to either NC or SC to the Forsyth area with some in Gwinnett, Cherokee and Hall but no one outside of that area in any of 9 separate families I'm researching and everyone in my direct lines staying in the Forsyth Co area. Hi Julie! I would like more information on William R. Brannon. I have that name listed as married to my GGG aunt, Martha Patsy Pool. I can accept any type of file. Thanks for sharing. Susan Y. Susan, This is one I can't quite get a handle on. I discussed it with Meredith several years ago, I believe. My William R. Brannon, born 1824 in Johnston Co, NC is shown on multiple census reports as being married to Mahala F. Pool. There are numerous church records listing Mahala Brannon. (I show F representing Frances) I can't figure out how Martha Patsy Pool, (daughter of Nathan and Margaret [Peek]) could be misinterpreted by a census taker as Mahala decade after decade. The middle name doesn't match either. I think that these are two different women but I haven't been able to figure out who Mahala's parents are. I was told by someone once that Mahala is the daughter of Nathan and Margaret Pool but I have my doubts. I'll be happy to share what I have if you think it would help. Julie "Susan Y.
