There was a Wiley Rouse listed in the Lumpkin Co., Ga. census along with Norman, Pleasant, and Everet. I was hoping you had come across Everet somewhere. He was born (Everet) in Ga. and died at age of 25. I cannot find him before 1850 or his wife after 1850 altho their children were in the census after they got married.

On the 1845 tax - Forsyth - Mills Rouse, Norman Rouse, and Wiley Rouse were listed. They were also on the 1840 Forsyth census. In 1853, Norman was listed on tax records in Lumpkin Co. He was living close to Everet so I thot they could be brothers. Wiley was also listed in Lumpkin Co. Don't know if it is yours tho. If you come across a "Everet Rouse", please E-mail me. thanks.

It is possible he had not yet completed medical school. One child was reportedly born in 1859 in GA and the next born 1863 in AR. Dr Kelly did file as adminstrator for his fathers estate and later the estate of his brother. Family oral history states Dr Kelly took his family and Joseph's family to TX for a period of time after Joseph was murdered. Court records relating to Hiram's estate also noted Jesse Kelly was not in the area. Film located in the Family History Library Salt Lake City UT. I am currently searching for record of the marriage of Josheph and Elizabeth Rebecca (FRANCIS) Kelly. They were shown as a family in the 1850 Census in Cherokee County. I would also like to identify the parents of Elizabeth Rebecca, and suspect she may be the daughter of Thomas (age 64 b. VA) and Elizabeth (age 53 b. MD) FRANCIS, who are listed in the 1850 Census for the 31st district of Forsyth County, GA [page 212 B, family 754 beginning on line 36]. The Francis children all born in NC listed with the family are: Arnold K (25); Cynthia (23); Nancy A (21); Elizabeth (17); Thomas (19); Sarah E. (14); and Susan C (12). They did not marry in Forsyth County. Marriages were usually recorded where the Bride lived. If it is not on file in Cherokee County, I believe at that time the Kelly (Kelley) was in Dawson County - which at that time would have been Lumpkin County so you should check there. Donna

    3. Searching for a marriage record for Joseph E KELLY and Elizabeth Rebecca FRANCIS ca 1850 in Forsyth or Cherokee County. Joseph KELLY b. 15 Aug 1820 North Carolina was the son of Hiram & Elizabeth (McGEE) Kelly. Elizabeth Rebecca FRANCIS was born in North Carolina 7 Feb 1828. She may possibly have been the daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth Francis listed in the 1850 Census for the 31st District of Forsyth County. Thank you for any information you can provide. I would very much like to surprise the 88 years young great-great-grandaughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Rebecca with the date of their marriage and documentation of the identity Elizabeth Rebecca's parents. 3. Donna, I like the idea of the family story, also would you send me the email address of the Irene you referred to as I am related to them also. John Wallis and Hannah Wofford are my 5th great grandparents. Their son William married Elizabeth Wofford. Elizabeth was Hannah's niece. To shorten the lineage. Eula Maggie Wallis and Alvin Clark were my great grandparents. I would love to exchange information with her.. 1. [GAFORSYT] Jog my memory - Julian History - Wallis(Wallace)
    2. I have seen in the past two pieces of Julian information that I no longer seem to have in my files. One was a copy of a Julian family history that was copied at the archives. There was an indication in there that a Julian daughter married a Wallace man in TN. Since these Julians came on to Forsyth County I remember thinking that Anna Wallis was probably a Julian by birth. The second was a copy of a Sunday supplement from a California newspaper about two Julian brothers who had a gold mine in California. I recall looking at what Renee Hogan had sent for Don's books to compare the names and two Julian brothers of that name were listed as children, but marked no further records. I recall passing this information on. at the time. Am I remembering right? Donna
