    1. [GAFORSYT] Mr. A. H. BRAZIEL of Suwanee, Georgia
    2. I am sending this to the Gwinnett & Forsyth Lists because our ancestral properties were in both Counties. I am anxious to contact any descendants of a Mr. A. H. BRAZIEL, who resided in Suwanee, Georgia RFD, probably in the 1930s. Mr. Braziel evidently once had knowledge of the location of a small family plot of graves (three) on land belonging to Benjamin PRUITT. The graves were never marked and the burials would have been around 1845. Thank you, Gloria Ramsaur

    1. [GAFORSYT] Mrs. Eunice Strickland BAXTER of Suwanee, Georgia
    2. I am sending this to the Gwinnett & Forsyth Lists because our ancestral properties were in both Counties. I am anxious to contact any descendants of Mrs. Baxter died in March of 1940 at age 90, and was helping my grandmother McGinnis indentify our ancestral properties along McGinnis Ferry Road. She may have been living on land that once belonged to James McGINNIS, Senior, a pioneer to Gwinnett County. Thank you, Gloria Ramsaur

    3. Dear Lee and Billie: Do you happen to know who David R. Ayers parents were? I seek to find a Elizabeth Ayers who married a Daniel Taylor in GA. So this was a clue for me. The reason that I asked you even thought this is about POOL and not AYERS is that I did note a lot of your work was in Warren Co. GA where he had been born so I thought I would take a chance and ask. 3. 2nd message regarding the Pool families being discussed on the Forsyth Co, GA. list. CC to Warren Co. since that is where my Pools are found. I have 3 Martha Pools and 1 Patsy Pool in my files. I have no evidence that they could possibly be the one that is being discussed as the daughter of Nathan and Margaret [Peek] Pool. 3. Hey thanks a ton, we have a new one that has just started up. I don't think they are at full speed yet so this should help them to help me some. I wish there was a way for the LDS to put their entire holdings order list online so that we could be armed with what we needed to order when we walked in the door. This would save us so much time seeing as how some of the sites have very limited hours. That way the rest of the visit could be used searching through what is already on site to begin with. 1. [GAFORSYT] Mahala Pool connections to 1) Edgefield Dist , SC My Pools of Warren Co, GA.

    3. Have followed the exchange about the Mahala Pool and the Martha Patsy Pool between Julie and Susan. I also have theses two names but not in the Forsyth Co, GA. area. However, thought I would post just in case it could help someone. I wish I had more on them. My MAHALA POOL - her family is connected to VA to Old Edgefield Dist, SC. [Not really mine, but connected to the Gentrys line, the Burnett line, the Trotter line, and Carter lines of Edgefield Dist thru various marriages] Gilly Gentry b. Bet. 1750 - 1760 Lunnenburg Co, VA. was the daughter of Hezekiah Gentry and Catherine Reynolds, who came to Edgefield Co. with their family by way of VA and Johnson Co., NC to SC by 1779 [Colony, SC Resident Old 96th DISTRICT], In 1785 he owns land in Edgefield Dist. Gilly married Joseph Trotter who died in Edgefield Co. Abt. 1805. She was still in Edgefield when she married 2_ Samuel Abney. However she died Bet. December 24, 1846 - April 27, 1847. Joseph and Gilly Gentry Trotter had the following known children: Descendants of Gilly Gentry 1 Gilly GENTRY b: Bet. 1750 - 1760 Lunenburg Co., Va d: Bet. 3. Hi Charlie, Rupert Sexton would be a great candidate to ask regarding the Harris family. His email address is insure@akorn.net. He has quite a large database of ancestors and has relations to Harris's through his Waters side. Good Luck! 3. Are there any searchers for HARRIS , in South Forsyth County, around 1900? I would like to identify and place a marker for 3 Harris children buried in two graves near the St. Marlo Country Club House . These children died of Diphtheria ( one a day earlier than the other two) about the time of my fathers birth, (1903) and may have been of some kin to the WHITNEY family. I have not been able to locate any additional information to date. I thought since the list was very active at this time, it would be a great opportunity to ask. Charlie

    3. Suan, I think Meredith just set us straight regarding to whom William R. Brannon was married. This makes so much more sense. I have seen the Dodd family bible records reproduced in one of the Georgia Genealogical Society Quarterly and knew without a doubt that Martha Patsy Pool had married John Dodd and that her father was Nathan Pool. I also knew there was never a mention of Mahala Pool in any of those records. I could never get the relationship, as it was told to me, to line up. Now I have a direction search. I guess you'll have to figure out if your gggAunt was Martha or Mahala. If she is Mahala, married to William R. Brannon I'll be happy to share any information I have that I know is correct. 3. Thank you Meredith! I had considered Young Pool but haven't had a chance to really follow up with that line. It is wonderful to actually know. I'd love to share information with you. Susan, This is one I can't quite get a handle on. I discussed it with Meredith several years ago, I believe. My William R. Brannon, born 1824 in Johnston Co, NC is shown on multiple census reports as being married to Mahala F. Pool. There are numerous church records listing Mahala Brannon. (I show F representing Frances) I can't figure out how Martha Patsy Pool, (daughter of Nathan and Margaret [Peek]) could be misinterpreted by a census taker as Mahala decade after decade. The middle name doesn't match either. I think that these are two different women but I haven't been able to figure out who Mahala's parents are. I was told by someone once that Mahala is the daughter of Nathan and Margaret Pool but I have my doubts. I'll be happy to share what I have if you think it would help. Julie "Susan Y.
