    1. Re: [GAFORSYT-L] Surnames - Herndon and Denning
    2. Donna, Do you know if this Margaret that lived in the cave was of Cherokee Indian or not? I have heard we were either Cherokee or our ancestor married a Cherokee. I would like to know more of this Joy Clark and Rebecca Wilson, I have Wilson family tied into my family line. I would like to have the address to the Dawsonville Library to send for copies of these papers. Nancy FRY

    1. Re: [GAFORSYT-L] Surnames - Herndon and Denning
    2. Joy Clark did a lot of work on these names. She gave copies of most of her records to Rebecca Wilson and the Dawsonville Library has Rebecca's papers. I know I have a few census records and I remember the story about Margaret living in a cave. Donna

    3. Hello Jean, Yes!!!!!! this is my husband's family. Agnes was a sister to Nathan Francis Bagley, whose son, John W is my husband's gr-grandfather. If I figure correctly, our husbands are 4th cousins. I need info about the Arkansas branch of the family. I just began corresponding with another Glover descendant who is still in GA, I think. It may be a while but I can send info on our branch if you like. The Bagley file is one of those not transferred from MAC to PC yet. But I will get it done eventually. In the meantime, I am using the paper file for the Bagley line I had BC (before computer). Certainly want to keep in touch. 2. It just so happens that I have Powells in my family line also. They came from SC, TN, to Alabama. I have a pile of Powell information that has been sent to me plus some I have gathered on my own. Haven't sorted any of it out. Will keep your email and If I run across anything will let you know. I know that the sons of some of the Alabama Powells went to GA , Mississippi and TX. May find a connection. Joan
