Hi Sandy, No I'm sorry I don't know anything about the Wheeler's you've asked about. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Saturday, September 04, 1999 9:26 AM Subject: Re: [GAFORSYT-L] William Sanders Wheeler court records >I don't know anything about your Wheeler's crime. The entry was probably taken from the records or microfilm of records in the Clerk of Superior Court, Forsyth County. The charge, the jury, and the sentence would be found in the main books. Whether the back up material is available is another matter. Some of these records were eaten by rats way before the microfilming. Does the "Black Book" list any reference numbers to look at, example, book and page, or case number, or exact date of sentencing?
I don't know anything about your Wheeler's crime. I am looking for info on a Hulda Ann Wheeler who married J.L. Aldridge and then Gideon Barnes. She was of Perry, GA when she married Gideon. She also had a brother Bob Wheeler who was in Tenn., around 1880. If you know anything about her I would be very interested. Thank you and God Bless, Sandy
HI I have recevied information about William Sanders Wheeler also known as Saunders Wheeler. He committed a crime and was convicted of this crime in Forsyth Co. Georgia sometime in the 1890's. I live in Wisconsin and do not have the resourses close by, I'd really like to know what this serious crime was. If anyone can help I'd be very thankful. The conviction was listed in "The Black Book Vol.2". Also if anyone has any suggestions of where I need to search for this information. Sanders was the son of William Anthony Wheeler. His aunt and uncle Lucy And Issac Johnson provided for his defense. Thanks for you time and help!!!!! May God Bless Each and Everyone of you

Sharon, Thanks so much for all the Hughes information. It will be a big help in my search for other ancestors. I have other info that I can share with others looking for Thomas D. and Ester V. HUGHES if anyone needs it. Thanks again. Randy -- Randall Hughes [email protected] http://home.earthlink.net/~randyhug/
Hi Sandra, I am Sandra also, Sandy for short. Thanks for the suggestion. I will give it a try. Sandy
Sandy, Try this address. http://www.census-online.com/links/GA.html It worked for me. I think the problem was the period at the end of the address. Sandra
I have tried several times to access this site and it tells me that it cannot open it. Don't know what is wrong. Sandy
I received an e-mail from the webmaster of the census online page, inviting all of us to check out his recent additions: http://www.census-online.com/links/GA.html. Happy hunting! Brenda
I have noticed that lately when you send a reply to someone on the mail list that it goes back to the list, so anyone that does not want to send their address to everyone can send it directly to me at: [email protected] Thanks Wanda
Many of you have helped to make The History of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church a reality. I just wanted to let you know that we go to the printer on September 12 and should have delivery of the books before Christmas. In the book are ~70 pictures of Pastors and Deacons with biographies of all Pastors and Deacons, more than 45 baptisms with individuals identified, 150 years of church minutes, listing of the church cemetery, and a full name index with over 400 surnames with references to ~ 2000 people dating back to the 1700's. It will be about 225 pages 8 1/2" X 11" hardbound. Some of you may know that this is a fundraiser for the church so all profits will go to the church. The cost of the book will be $40 until November 15, after that the cost will be $50. If anyone is interested in the book please send me your mailing address and I will send you an order form. You can contact me by email or Wanda Collins 6910 Wallace Tatum Rd. Cumming, GA 30040 770-889-5902 Check out the membership and deacons for the 1800's on the Forsyth Co. Genweb site. Thanks to all of you for your help, Wanda
Please send order form to: Diane D. McDonough 103 York Road Ranson, WV 25438 e-mail: [email protected]
I want to be sure that my new address will be in the archives of this list, so I'm recording it now. After this message I will be unsubscribing under my old address, and I will soon resubscribe under my new address. Meantime, if anyone wants to contact me after September 2, 1999, my new address will be: [email protected] See you soon. Jean

Melba - Joy was born a LAMB.
Joy Clark and Rebecca Wilson were both dedicated Forsyth researchers and they are both deceased. You should be able to find the Dawson County Library address online - try thr State of Georgia page. You will have to ask for a lookup, I know there were boxes of material on a lot of different families. If the families were Indian, they never registered as such.
