Sorry Sam --- No there isn't. Donna
Hello William, My cousin Dan would be looking for Salem Baptist. Daniel Garrett was the father of Allen Powell's first wife Satirah Garrett, I am descended from Allen and his second wife, Ester Bennett. Allen Powell as well as several Garretts and Bennetts appear on the membership rolls of Salem Baptist Church. Chris >From: "William H. Good Morning, "cuzzins": An ancestral grandfather, Daniel Garrett, stated in his Will that he desired to be interred in the "OLD Salem Church cemetery". Is there an older cemetery, one other than the existing one(that I have visited)? Does anyone have any burial info on Daniel Garrett? Cheers. Daniel Jones
1. My grt. grandfather was convicted in forsyth Co. GA. for a felony sometimes in the 1890's. Do you have information that could help me know what he did? I do not have this information in my files. The charges should appear in a book at the Clerk of Superior Court's Office. 2.My grt. grandfather James Cleveland Cook b.1800's m. Nancy Jane Pendley b.1886 d.1973 buried in Sugar Hill Baptist Cemetery. - do you have any information about them. (marriage date, parents names,ect.-I have no information about them other than what I've given you above. and their children). Most of my records are prior to 1870. Sugar Hill is in Gwinnett County, GA. What does Nancy Jane Pendley Cook's death certificate say? If she died in 1973, she should have one on file.
I have heard the William's will is at the Forsyth County Heritage Foundation, dated 6/21/1833. I think the will you are referring to is that of Parker Collins. Go to <A HREF="http://hometown.aol.com/mflp/histlnx.html">Forsyth County History</A> aka http://hometown.aol.com/mflp/histlnx.html and click on the link for Minute Book A Index see page 1. It is recorded at the Probate Court Forsyth Co., Ga Forsyth County Heritage Foundation is the organization that sponsored the printing of Don L. Shadburn's Unhallowed Intrusion. Don is the only member of this organization that I know of. On the flyleaf of the book, copyright 1993, it has an address that is no longer valid. Check the Forsyth genweb page for Don Shadburn.. William Harris died in 1865 in Milton County, GA. They have a genwebpage although they are no longer a county. William Harris married Susan Collins probably in Gwinnett (check dates Cherokee Co. and Forsyth County were formed). This is a well documented family forward with much printed material on it. I do not know who William Harris' father was and it is not given in Mr. Shadburn's book that I could see. On my main page - <A HREF="http://members.aol.com/MFLP/index.html">Donna Parrish of Forsyth County, GA - Her Page</A> aka http://members.aol.com/MFLP/index.html Click on Genealogy and that will bring up family links. Look for Thomas Cordery and click on it. Thomas Cordery was Susan Collins grandfather. Donna
