    1. [GAFLOYD] Mt. Tabor Church & John's Mountain
    2. Kathlyn J Folmar
    3. I recently took a sightseeing trip that included John's Mountain in North Georgia. On the South side of the mountain, near or at Floyd Springs, I noticed a Mt. Tabor Church and Cemetery. Around 1845 my forefather was instrumental in starting four churches in North Coffee County, Alabama. One was named Mt. Tabor. I'm wondering if there is any possibility of a connection here as sometimes when people moved from one location to another, they named a church in their new community the same as the name of one they left where they had lived. So I am wondering if there is any connection to Johnsons or Millers to the Mt. Tabor Church and Cemetery at/near Floyd Springs, Georgia. I also would like to know how this mountain became known as John's Mountain and when. (Floyd Springs is just North of Rome, Ga. alnd in Floyd County.) Clem Johnson Pike County, Alabama
