There is no Dickey in Floyd County in 1870 but there is a Lawson Dickey in Screven County in 1870. He is a child, 10 years old. His mother is Sarah and she is widowed or at least there is no husband listed. Other children are Freeman, 17 and Amanda, 14. There are other Dickey families on the same page. There may not be any connection to your David Lawson Dickey but I thought I would pass it on. There is also a David Dickey, born in TN, age 34, in Missouri. What were names of his wife and children? Some of my Floyd County, GA folks that were "lost" ended up in Arkansas. Linda A
