If you have time would you please look for the surname "Bagwell" also. 3. To those that wanted me to look at the newspapers on microfilm: I went to the library today in Rome to check on the reunion dated Sept 14, 1904. They had years brginning in 1850 but there was a gap between 1902 and 1909 with no newspapers. I am subscribed to Ancestry's newspaper subscriptions and have looked in the Atlanta Constitution about the reunion. There were a few articles but no pictures and no names were mentioned unless they were part of the program. 25,000 people were said to be in Rome for the reunion. Sorry I could not be more helpful. Linda A

    3. Hi Linda, Is it at all possible for you to look up an obituary for my great grandmother, Sarah Jane Hyatt(Hite) Rogers who died in 1899 in Silver Creek area of Floyd Co. GA and is buried in Pleasant Hope cemetery? I would appreciate this very much. Thank you and God bless, Joanna Wood in AL ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda A" <blwkk@bellsouth.net> To: <GAFLOYD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 08, 2004 4:39 PM Subject: Re: [GAFLOYD] State Reunion of Confederate Veterans held in Rome Georgia, September 14-15, 1904 > To those that wanted me to look at the newspapers on microfilm: > I went to the library today in Rome to check on the reunion dated Sept 14, > 1904.
