But MORE importantly..... an amendment to the original statute, whereby Beneficiares could be educated within the State, as well as at the American Asylum. .....and among them was the Board of Trustees of the Hearn School This school is located near the village of Cave Spring, Floyd County. Who were the 4 pupils he brought back?? ..... He returned from the American Asylum with four pupils.
