Seeking information on the family of James Hood Perry, born around 1860, presumably in Floyd County. His mother was Martha Caroline Perry, who apparently never married the boy's father or anybody else. Her father was Mitchum/Meachum/Mickum/Milchem Perry of Orange County, NC. The family supposedly moved to Floyd County sometime after 1844. Any information appreciated, have info to share.
