There was a Quaker community there and he descends from a long line of Quakers. Isaiah and Patsy had a daughter Martha Jane who married Jackson Smith. They had a daughter Ramath Smith from whom I descend. In reference to the Jeptha May question..Jackson Smith and Jeptha May started the Hopewell Academy in Fayette. All of these families seem to have close ties. I do not have any more information on the Chandlers. I have looked at the Quaker community in SC known as Bush River for the Chandler name. A number of families seemed to migrate at the same time. Isaiah Hollingsworth built the Rex Mill near Stockbridge GA. He had an uncle, Joseph Hollingsworth who also moved from SC to the Rockdale Smyrna area. He may have also built a mill in that area.
