Her mother was Georgia Ann Gay of Fayette County, Georgia. Many of the other related Gay surname family members lived as neighbors in close proximity to each other, according to the US Census records. Spencer is buried in our family cemetery at Howell Cemetery in Cherokee County Alabama next to my great-grandmother, Georgia Ann Gay. Many of the Gay surname family members have moved away, married or are now deceased in the Cherokee County area. We have some general information on the family connections, but seem to be missing some key information. We do know several of the Gay and Harp family members that moved to Alabama (many of them during the late 1880's). Attached is some current info that I have to date.
