I received an email from Marvin Trawick in England who is looking for his Thomas ancestors in Fayette County. He had read one of my articles in The Citizen and wanted to know if I had researched his family (I had not). Since my weekly articles have been discontinued, I suggested that Marvin leave messages at Rootsweb and Genforum, and subscribe to this list. I told him I would give him a jump start by posting to the list for him. If you have any info, please reply to Marvin at trawickbim@aol.com. Posting to the list also might be helpful to others. Here is the info on his family from his email to me: >>> I was wondering if you have done any research on Will Harp Thomas born 1 Jul 1871 and Minnie Bell Chapman, born 22 Oct 1879? Will and Minnie married 13 Oct 1899 in Fayette County. They lived in Fayette County and had a large family I.e.: Wilbur Garnett, Jep, Fred, Ida Bell, Effie, Lucile, James R. Ernest, and Eva that I know of. Will?s father I believe was Richard Thomas mother was Louise Quick, and Minnie Bells father was James Thomas Chapman and mother was Addelia Adams. It is unclear to me who Will?s grandparents are, but I think Charles and Sara Thomas might be. My name is Marvin Trawick and Wilbur Thomas and Margie Lucile Creamer were my grandparents on mothers side. I saw your article in the Citizen Paper and since I live in Brandon, Suffolk, England thought you may have some info that you might be willing to share. There is some stories about the Thomas that suggest that Will and Minnie may have had several other children which I would really like to know of. Any info would be appreciated. If you know of any published Thomas history in Fayette County I might research, it would be helpful. Thank you for your time and any info you might pass along.
