    3. Thanks-- got any clues as to what funeral house was in operation in 1863? :) To my knowledge, there were only a handful of burials in this family cemetery-- The last funeral home I asked in Fayette County about an old cemetery just laughed-- On Sep 9, 2010, at 4:23 PM, Raymond F MacMahon wrote: > If you know what funeral home conducted the service, call them. 3. I have seen mention of Haisten's in some pretty old records but the one I remember going to when I was young was in Spalding County, not Fayette. I don't know if they have maintained their records from the beginning. I would guess your best bet would be to search the deeds of the family you know were buried there and try to locate it that way. The deeds are available online and are searchable: http://www.fayetteclerk.com/ Property Index Search on left hand menu.
