    2. According to "The History of the Millsaps," by Dr. Luther Wayne Capooth, the Millsaps were in Fayette County early enough. Mahala A. Millsaps was the daughter of Eldridge Millsaps, who was on a militia list in Walton County in 1822 and then bought one of the first lots sold in Fayetteville, Fayette County, Ga where he died in 1832. Reuben Millsaps, probably his uncle who moved to Fayette abt. 1823, and Stephen Smith were appointed guardians of his children: William J., Mahala, Olly T, and Pinkney. Mahala was buried in the Cox Family Cemetery in Fayette Co. (p.49), probably the family cemetery mentioned in the post about her. Her husband, Lewis T. Thompson, was said to be the grandson of Samuel Thompson whose will was probated in Fayette County 9 October 1845. Samuel's granddaughter Paulina m. Larkin Millsaps and grandson James Samuel Thompson m. Olivia Jane Millsap (sic). Some researchers believe that Samuel's father James Thompson probably moved with the Millsaps and Fullers from Old Pendleton District to Jackson County. GA. Any information documenting this move?
