Asa died in Fayette, County, Georgia sometime between June 1852 and July 1853. Asa and his wife Mary Polly Baily raised nine children - four sons: Baily, Wyatt, Allen and William Perry and five daughters: Patsy, Polly, Martha, Kitturah and Mary. I believe Asa's father to be John Chandler, but exactly which John Chandler is unclear. It is possible Asa's father is John Chandler born 1755 in Lunenberg, Virginia, died 1850 Benton, Alabama. It is also possible that Asa's father is John Chandler, Jr. born 1759 in Virgina, died 1838 in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Asa is my 5th great grandfather.
