She asked me to bring her Uncle Brew's wedding picture and a copy of the book I have on his life. I finally got everything together and went to the nursing home on Eastman Road to see her and they told me she had died. However, a month before that I went by to see her one day to take her this information and they told me she was there but I couldn't find her in the nursing home so I told the lady I would be back later. But I waited too long. Wished I could have talked to her and shared stories with her. Wayne Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I was at the cemetery looking for Rosie Smith's grave and didn't find it but I did find Mary Francis Smith's grave and that of her son and they are buried just beside Uncle Brew. Do you know where Joseph J. Harrison 1864-1950 is buried. That was Aunt Rosie's husband. The records don't show him being buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery. I will get you a copy of that book. Let me know where Joseph J. Harrison is buried if you know. I know a lot of Harrison people lived around Bryans Mill. She died 19 May 1997 from complications after receiving a blood transfusion. We have a copy of the book she wrote, however she told us that there were things in her book that she embellished upon as she could not find enough information. I do not remember the things that she said that she embellished. Brian has been scanning our copy of the book onto our computer so I have not had a chance to go through it completely and read what she wrote but I am excited to be able to do so. I would love to have a family reunion to get everyone together so that we could all fill in the blanks that are missing. It seems that there are many of them but if we all pulled our information we just might come up with the whole picture. I need to sit down with my paper and pencil and make a sketch of our families. Lona was my husband's grandmother. Her daughter, Dorothy Patricia (Pat) was his mother. Her other daughter Mildred is still living out West. The last I heard she was living in Oregon. Was it Mildred that wrote the book? I know that Pat had written one too but I do not recall the year she wrote it. It was after her son Brian and I got married though and that was in 1973.
