Obit for Virginia Mae Fields Wagner Swainsboro Forest-Blade 8 Oct 1953 Mrs. Virginia Mae Fields Wagner, 41, of Columbus, Ga., died Friday morning, September 25 in an Augusta hospital after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband Paul Wagner, Sr.; one son Paul Wagner, Jr.; one daughter Betty Wagner, all of Columbus; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fields of Soperton, two brothers, Clark Fields of St. George, S.C., and Clifton Fields of Savannah; three half-brothers; Lloyd Fields of Henderson, Nevada, Wallace Fields of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Jack Fields, Soperton; one half-sister; Mrs. J.W. McKenzie of Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 27, at the chapel of Swainsboro Mortuary by the Rev. Vernard Robertson and Earnest Seckinger. Burial was in the Hall Family Cemetery near Modock. Pallbearers were C.K., Willie, John A. and J.D. Fields, R.J. Holder, and Lonnie Hutchinson. Swainsboro Mortuary was in charge of funeral services. Obit for Georgia Beaulah Fields Swainsboro Forest-Blade 12 Dec 1973 Mrs. Georgia Beaulah Fields, 80, Vidalia, died Friday, Dec. 7. Mrs. Fields was born in Wilkes County and was a daughter of the late George Smith and the late Mrs. Amanda Newsome Smith. She had lived in Vidalia for 10 years and was a former resident of Treutlen and Emanuel Counties. She was a member of the Lothair United Methodist Church and was married to the late Henry S. Fields. Survivors include three sons, Lloyd G. Fields, Las Vagas, Nevada, Wallace H. Fields, Dallas, Tex., and Jack W. Fields, Vidalia; a daughter, Mrs. J.W. McKenzie, Jacksonville, Fla.; two step sons, John Clark Fields, Allenhurst, and James Clifford Fields, Claxton; a sister, Mrs. Reba Wynn, Vidalia; a brother, Lloyd I. Smith, Saraland, Fla.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Lothair United Methodist Church at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Dec 9, with the Rev. Harold Tucker and the Rev. Earl McClelland officiating. Burial was in the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Sammons Funeral in charge. Pallbearers were Kenneth Fields, Robert Screws, Marcus Brantley and Wade Brantley.
