On 5-2-2005, a poster on the Rootsweb Emanuel County Message board asked this question: "looking for any info. on james w. flanders. born 1856, father was william arnold flanders and kitsey hall.widowed in 1877. wife unknown, 1 son neil (neal) lewis flanders 1877. remarried elizabeth or sarah elizabeth wheeler??? in 1879 had 7 more children. I've hit a BIG BRICK WALL!!!" I am trying to find out who a Sarah Wheeler was that was buried in Bethel Cemetery. She was born 1-1-1861 died 5-19-1925. On the same page in "Searching For Our Ancestors Among The Gravestones" (page 29)is John White Wheeler who is married to Mary Rachel Flanders also a child of William & Kitsey Hall Flanders. In the posting above on James W. Flanders, another posting on this board states these people may have lived in Appling County. Anyone have any ideas on this mystery? Eva
