Carol, Thanks for this information on the Faircloth family. By the way, the Belle Lumpkin who is "boarding" with John J. Faircloth in 1900 is just weeks away from marrying Charlie Ivison Hall. They are my grandparents. I mention this because we often see people enumerated as "boarder" in the Census and wonder why.
