My paternal great-grandparents, Solomon WILLIAMSON and Clarissa CALHOUN, were married in Emanuel County in 1878. Although he was from Emanuel County, she was from Tarrytown, Montgomery County. My own parents married in 1939, and neither of them was from the county in which they married. Also, what about people who ran away to get married (eloped)? Olivia
