GEORGE B.1 MOXLEY was born 09 Aug 1907, and died 09 May 1957 (Source: Cemeteries of Emanuel Co, Ga, Page 386, SWAINSBORO CITY CEMETERY.). He married FRANKIE MAE COVENNAH (Source: Family Member Louis Patrick, provided info on the spouse of Frankie Mae Covennah..), daughter of FRANK COVENNAH and ANNIE CANNADY. She was born 09 Nov 1911 in Emanuel Co., Ga., and died in Emanuel Co., Ga.. Notes for REV. GEORGE B. MOXLEY: The Forest Blade 5/16/1957 Funeral services for George Benjamin (B. G.) Moxley who was killed in an auto accident near Reidsville last Thursday night, May 9, were held last Sunday, May 12, at 3 p.m. at the Swainsboro Church of God. Rev. Brooks Youngblood, Rev. T. Stover and Rev. Paul Delk officiated. Burial was in the Swainsboro City cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmie Smith, Lester Screws, Lawrence Pennington, Austin Smith, Waldo Smith and Mose Shelton. Rev. Moxley was 49 years old and born in Emanuel County August 9, 1907. He was the son of the late George Benjamin Moxley and the late Anna Allen Moxley, both natives of Emanuel County. Survivors are his wife the former Frankie Mae Cavennah, four daughters Mrs. Ray Jones of Avera, Mrs. Berry Arrington of Augusta, Miss Peggy and Carolyn Moxley of Swainsboro, one son George Edward Moxley of Swainsboro, and one sister Mrs. Lee Flanders of Macon. The Rev. Alan Weaver will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. from Swainsboro City Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Medical College of Georgia Hospital, Augusta. Born in Emanuel County, Mrs. Moxley was a member of Hephzibah Church of God and of the Sanctuary Bible Class. She had lived in Augusta 40 years. Survivors include four daughters, Lyndell M. Jones of Alma, Melvie M. Arrington of Mephzibah, Peggy Mr. Thompson of Clearwater, S.C., and Carolyn M. Perara of Hobe Sound, Fla., a son, George E. Moxley, of Augusta, two brothers, Johnny L. Lamb of Columbia, S.C. and Emmett Lamb of Swainsboro; 12 grandchidren and 21 great grandchildren. Pallberas will be Bernard Hinson, Edward Moxley, Rusty Arrington, Larry Jones, Steve Jones and Monty Arrington. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.
