I think this is correct and that's why I asked the question about J. A. McLendon. I'm trying to prove it or at least support it more fully. Here are my thoughts... There is a Henry H. Hall in Burke Co in 1830 and 1840. He's not there in 1850 but there is a Fereby Hall whom I've pretty well established as his probable widow and almost certainly as my ggggm. Their children are James J. Hall, John K. Hall, Henry Houston Hall (my gggf and husband of Sarah Rich), Augustus Hall and a daughter or daughter-in-law Elizabeth Hall who had children Amanda, Henry and James Kitchen/Kinchen Hall. According to Ben Edwards who got his information from Eathel Rich Sconyers Curry (recently deceased but a serious researcher who grew up in the Rich settlement and who knew much about the Rich family): John K. Hall (son of Fereby Hall) married Margie Rich and they had children Sarah and Malatha. On 11 Sep 1854 in Emanuel County a John N. or H. Hall married Elizabeth Rich. This marriage is prior to the birth of Sarah and Malatha so it appears that these are their parents. From a postcard in my possession I know Malatha married a Roebuck and lived near Millen in the early 1900s (would like to know more about her). In 1875 in Jefferson County John A. McClendon married Sarah A. Hall. I've always suspected this was Malatha's sister but was scared of it for two reasons (1) Sarah Hall is a very common name (2) a bride is supposed to get a marriage license in her home county. However, the mention of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McLendon as relatives in the obituary for Elmo Delaney has assured me I'm on the right track. I welcome other thoughts or information. Delores
