All, I spoke with Daddy (William W. LINDSEY, Sr of Oak Park, GA) this afternoon. He is 87 years old and while his mind is clear, his hearing is not! By his admission, this story which started as history was repeated as a ghost story.. The EUBANKS family lived in the house in Oak Park later occupied by Aunt Nettie HARRINGTON. Mr. EUBANKS borrowed Wayne GRIFFIN's pistol. He was on his way to return the pistol to Mr. GRIFFIN when he turned around, went back to his house, killed his family, then killed himself. Mrs. EUBANKS was J. J. POWELL's niece. Mr. Pete STRANGE, now deceased, told Daddy that the bodies were sent by train to Stillmore to be buried. Daddy believes, but has no proof, that they are buried in Old Oak Grove Cemetery. His reasoning: there are 5 places out of the main section of the cemetery. They are marked, but not identified.
