Thanks for the info, Anita. The Fields are just as bad as the Faircloths. All named James, John, or Henry. :-) John Clark and James Clifford were twin brothers. Their little sister is Virginia Mae. Their mom died shortly after the birth of Mae. James Clifford is my husband's grandfather - now deceased. I just heard recently that Clark and Clifford were raised by a James Faircloth - but we weren't sure which one. Now I'm pretty sure it's John James (James John) Faircloth who, along with his wife Georgia Hall Faircloth, also raised their mother, Annie Mae Delaney after the early death of her mother. Georgia is the sister of Annie's mother, Emma Hall. Childless themselves, they helped raise two generations of their kin. I wonder why, even after Clark, Clifford, and Mae's father remarried they were still living with their great uncle and great aunt. All three are dead now. However, I'll soon be visiting their younger half-brother. He might be able to clue me in on that situation a bit more. As there is 17 years between the twins and their half-brother, he may not remember anything about their living arrangements! Thank you again - this is one more piece of the puzzle!
