She and son Quinton are buried at Stevens Cemetery in Emanuel County. Her tombstone reads: "Age 45 years. Wife of J. S. Stevens. Mother of Quinton & J. Manson Stevens". If she was 45 when she died in 1911, then she was born about 1866. I believe this Sarah is the one who is the daughter of Jesse SCOTT.>> I have to agree Carol - everything points to your conclusion so I am going with this in my database. Thanks for your help! Regarding son J. Manson STEVENS: Pg. 221, Cemeteries book - Kirkland Cemetery James M. STEVENS Born 1888 Died 1926. Son J. Manson was born Mar. 1888, based on the 1900 Montgomery census, Pg. 157, Visit 197/216. Maybe James M. STEVENS is the same as J. Manson STEVENS. ??? ----------------------------------------------- Carol Riner Everett wrote: <<Sarah/Sallie, wife of James STROUD, was still alive and kicking and is listed in Emanuel County on the 1920 and 1930 Censuses. They are both buried at Swainsboro City Cemetery. James S. STROUD - born Sep 1, 1878; died Mar 21, 1966 Sally E. STROUD - born Jul 3, 1878; died Apr 11, 1951 I don't know who her parents are or if she was even a SCOTT...>> I am still curious about this family since the STROUD and the SCOTTs were pretty close. In 1910 James & Sallie STROUD were living next door to Henry SCOTT. Does anyone know the parents of James STROUD and Sallie? Yvonne
