"I have never breathed to a living soul." {Now paraphrased} Alvin Meeks was acquainted with Enon and as a teenager recognized his kin in town, Midville / Summertown area, but was not allowed to speak to him. Enon had married a Colored {Black} woman and this JUST WAS NOT DONE {in Georgia and the old South.} He (Enon) couldn't have farmed since he lived back in the swamp in a big house with a bunch of kids. So the townsfolk supposed he made moonshine. (Whiskey made illegally without paying taxes.) This is an interesting account, but how accurate is it?
